Nasdog.com...A Research and Investor Education Website
Alan R. Palmer is a professional futures trader and founder of Nasdog.com. Nasdog.com is an independent research and charting web enterprise, based on a time-tested, first-of-its-kind calculated formula for predicted multi-market swings. The patented “Olive Line” calculation is found only on Nasdog.com and was discovered and coined by Nasdog.com founder Alan R. Palmer.
Alan is a successful independent floor trader and technical analyst specializing in agricultural, financial and stock index futures. He has worked primarily in the markets traded on the Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
He began his career in the futures industry as a summer runner on the floors of the Chicago Board of Trade, delivering orders and learning the rudimentary workings of the markets. He graduated from a runner to phone clerk working for various brokerage firms. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree from DePaul University, he began a career as a proprietary trader with Paul Tudor Jones, a world-renown money manager, where he perfected his technical analytical techniques.
He launched Nasdog.com in June, 2004 primarily as a traders’ website, to provide research and investor education tools. His irreverent opinions and rule-based trading techniques provide not only valuable insights into macro-market machinations, but also provide a refreshing and humorous viewpoint not commonly seen in the trading community.
Alan has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg, CNN, Web/fn, and quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Bloomberg and Reuters news wires services. He holds an undergraduate degree in Business Finance Administration from DePaul University in Chicago.
